How does a photography project originate and how does it reach international publishing?
We will discover how to submit a photography project to international publishing guided by Nicolò
Filippo Rosso and Laura Carnemolla: from editing to writing synopses and captions, up to
strategies and timelines to know your way into the market.

Participants are recommended to bring a pre-edited portfolio (maximum 50 photos).

Nicolò Filippo Rosso

Nicolò Filippo Rosso is an internationally renowned photographer who has documented stories of abandoned communities, mass migration crises, conflicts, and climate change. His work is regularly published in major magazines around the world. In 2021, he received the W. Eugene Smith Memorial Award for Humanistic Photography. In 2024, he received the Alexia Grant Award. His work has also been awarded with two Getty Editorial Grants, six Pictures of the Year International, including the 2024 World Understanding Award, four Best of Photojournalism (NPPA) awards, an International Photography Award (Photographer of the Year, Deeper Perspective, 2020), two World Report Awards, the Ponchielli Prize, the Prix ANI-PixTrack, the Romano Cagnoni Award, the BarTur Photo Award, the Leica Oskar Barnack Award (finalist), and a World Press Photo Award. He contributes regularly to Bloomberg News, TIME, Stern, and the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
Laura Carnemolla

Laura Carnemolla has a degree in Cultural Heritage Conservation and has been working for years on film sets in the photography unit. She worked as a project manager at the Espronceda Center for Art and Culture in Barcelona, Spain, and from 2016 to 2021 at Officine Fotografiche in Rome and Milan. Until 2024, she was head of editorial sales for the photojournalism agency Parallelozero. She collaborates with several photographers on the editorial distribution of their projects.
