PORTFOLIO READINGS

with Sara Emma Cervo, Francesco Colombelli, Chiara Magni, Sara Guerrini

Industry, photography and communication professionals will meet photographers and photo
amateurs inside the Museo delle Storie in Bergamo. You will have the opportunity to share with
them your photography projects and assess your talents and capabilities in a dedicated 20-minute
session.

Sara Emma Cervo / Visual Editor, Vanity Fair

After graduating in Contemporary Art History, she came to Milan to study photo editing at CFP Bauer. Today, she is a Visual Editor at Vanity Fair, previously working for Cosmopolitan, Gioia, Playboy, The Collectible Dry, and Lampoon. She occasionally writes about photography for Vanity Fair and she updates her “I Wanted to Be a Photo Editor”, not on a regular basis. She collects cameras she doesn’t use and buys vintage photography on eBay.

Francesco Colombelli / Curator and Exhibition Designer

Co-founder of the Kublaiklan collective, he has been collaborating with Cortona On The Move since 2012 and with Fotografia Europea since 2016 as Exhibition Manager. He curated exhibitions dedicated to photobooks, including Home Is Where One Starts From (Fotografia Europea 2021), Foul and Awesome Display (Photolux 2021), Giro Giro Corpo (Cortona On The Move 2024), and Fluorescent Adolescent (Fotografia Europea 2025). He owns a collection of over 1,000 photobooks. He collaborates with several festivals and national institutions. As assistant to the artistic director of Atelier dell’Errore, he arranges photography workshops for children and teens. He teaches at the IED in Turin, Spazio Labò, and Studio Marangoni.

Chiara Magni / Head of Public Engagement, Medici Senza Frontiere

Chiara Magni, Head of Public Engagement for Doctors Without Borders – an international medical humanitarian organization – has been planning in communications for nonprofit and international organizations over twenty years. She currently coordinates the Public Engagement Unit of MSF Italy, which aims to raise awareness and engage the Italian public in the organization’s mission through campaigns, events, partnerships, and special projects with cultural commitment (photography, publishing, and cinema).

Sara Guerrini / Senior Photo Editor

Sara Guerrini is a project manager and consultant for editorial and corporate projects. She works as senior photo editor for Interni, a monthly magazine of interior design, and Men’s Health, a sports and lifestyle magazine. She collaborated with several national and international magazines, worked as storytelling instructor at IED (Milan), and served as account manager for agencies such as Gallerystock, Alpaca Visual, Grazia Neri, and Parallelozero. For Parallelozero in particular, she created and coordinated the Fellowship and the Italian Sustainability Photo Award. She collaborates as an icon designer for illustrated publishing (Einaudi, Rizzoli) and published the photographic essay “Oltre l’immagine” (Postcart). For Fotografica, the Bergamo Photography Festival, she coordinates the Fotografica NEXT Open Call for Under 30.
